Resources: health & safety

Radio is exciting and rewarding but it must always be approached responsibly because it involves possible dangers if you behave foolishly.

It is important that all the facilities operated by school broadcasters are regularly checked and approved by those responsible for Health and Safety within the school.

SchoolsRadio.com would draw specific attention to the risks inherent in regular listening to audio material, particularly via headphones, at unnecessarily high volume levels. Too many experienced djs suffer from loss of hearing and it is not necessary.
